This plein-air workshop will explore familiar and current contemporary approaches to drawing outside. Using a variety of media and processes, drawing is a way to experience your surroundings that is immediate and personal. Specializing in analytical drawing and sensory drawing techniques, artists /educators Cassandra and Meg Eustace will lead you in an immersive day of drawing in the beautiful gardens of The North Mayo Heritage Centre at Enniscoe, including a conversation with the gardener. The Eustace twins are the founders of The Drawing Clinic which operates to create a creative and critical space for drawers of all levels to talk about their drawing.

Materials to bring: The twins will provide selected materials for the workshop -do bring your own sketchbooks etc if you like- but it is not essential.
Weather: the workshop will proceed in all weather with an alternate plan in the case of persistent rain. Dress in layers of warm clothes. - a plastic bag to sit on in case the ground is wet is always handy!
