Global Roots: Huun Huur Tu - Sat, Dec 2, 19:00
The Man In The Womans Shoes - Sat, Dec 2, 21:00Coming up in November and December:
- A vital voice in the thriving alternative folk scene in Ireland, Lemoncello have been nominated for Best Folk Song and Best Emerging Folk Act at the RTE Radio 1 Folk Awards
- The legendary Throat Singing group from Tuva, situated on the Mongolian border, visit Ballinglen for an unforgettable concert
- Set in October 1978 (Pope John Paul I is not long dead), The Man in the Woman’s Shoes follows Pat Farnon (Mikel Murfi) as he walks to do "some business" in town and back again. It is a beautifully observed piece; utterly simple, funny, tender and at times downright daft
Let all roads lead to Ballinglen and Ballycastle this autumn and winter. We hope you’ll take the time to discover our beautiful and historical village, surrounding countryside and our current art exhibition. It might just take your breath away or leave you scratching your head. That’s ok too. At Ballinglen, we’d like to think that as well as showcasing great art, we also bring people together and contribute in our own small way to Ballycastle’s social life. ‘Later’ is an extension of that ethos. We hope you and your friends will join us in Ballycastle.
Later @ Ballinglen is funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, in support of the Night-Time Economy After Hours at the Museum scheme.
