The Odyssey and Segment Drawings | Samuel Walsh: The Ballinglen Gallery

"The Odyssey drawings were mostly made in Berlin during a month-long artists residency in 2018. On my return they became the basis for more drawings and an exhibition of those drawings and the subsequent paintings that was held at the RHA Gallagher Gallery, Dublin in February-March 2022. The Segment drawings are, as their name implies, small parts of larger drawings with occasional added bits. The exhibition will also have three small paintings from The Odyssey series and a single study to show how I get from the start to the end of an idea." Samuel Walsh
