Ballycastle - Ballinglen II, 2012
I was delighted to be invited to spend time at the Foundation. I was there, with my partner Romanie in the summer of 2012. It was the first time either of us had been to that part of Mayo so a wonderful opportunity to travel around and investigate the area, in particular the spectacular coastline from Blacksod to Killala Bay. I divided my time between drawing outside in the landscape and working in the spacious and well-equipped print studio. It was also a pleasure to meet other artists and staff and be able to invite friends to visit and stay with us in the cottage. A memorable trip. - David Lilburn
